THANK YOU FOR THE BIGGEST EVER DOO DAH!

THANK YOU FOR THE BIGGEST EVER DOO DAH!

(Min Seon)

Thank you to our entrants, volunteers, and attendees for making the 2024 Pasadena Doo Dah Parade the biggest we have ever had. It reassures us to know that this long-standing Pasadena tradition not only lives on, but can thrive as it never has before, and we are thrilled that our small team can be the ones who maintain it.

A special thanks to the Doo Dah Preservation Society, especially Vince and Veronica, for working so closely beside us to get the logistics of this event squared away.

An additional thanks is owed to Old Towne Pub and DogHaus Pasadena for hosting such rip-roaring after parties. You embodied the spirit of the parade by allowing our community a space to be so expressive.

Pasadena, the way you showed up for this parade demonstrates to us how deeply you all care about your community and the importance of having a laugh with your neighbors. You came in droves because it’s important right now to be inspired by art, and above all to do that together. Happy Doo Dah!

The Other Parade

Known as the twisted sister of the conventional Rose Parade, the Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade began as a grassroots event in 1978 and over the past decades has gained national attention for its eccentric and, often, irreverent satire. The parade which has spawned numerous off-beat replicants across the country was even highlighted in the Wall Street Journal in 2015. It was also named “America’s Best Parade” by Reader’s Digest, and was featured in the book 50 Places You Must Visit Before You Die.
